High Priestess of
LIFE
Claire Elisabeth Elliott became the very first official all-American fortune baby to be born in the United States of America when she was born on October 21, 1965 in Mountain View, California.
In 1966, Claire (age 6 months) began speaking clearly in her first language of Japanese. This was when Claire was determined to be the sole bona fide Dalai Lama, but because she was a girl, Tibetan officials decided to keep her male adult "stand-in" in place, instead (which continues to this day).
To commemorate the occasion, Claire was sketched as the Gerber Baby. Artist: a very young Gary Murie, long before he ever became a member of the SGI.
In 1967, Gary sketched Claire again, this time as the Coppertone Girl posing together with the black poodle-sheepdog (NOT cocker spaniel) puppy she got for her 2nd birthday.
In 1974, Claire (age 8) co-planned every aspect of the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) inside her living room in Old Greenwich, Connecticut; however, it was her father, Daisaku Ikeda of Japan, who was nominated as the SGI president on Guam on January 26, 1975.
By default, Claire became [THE OTHER] SGI president.
In 1979, Claire (age 13) unknowingly became the very first high priestess of Buddhism when Nichiren Shoshu's High Priest Nittatsu was murdered on July 22, 1979. That's when Claire's grandpa Nikken graciously stepped forward to stand-in for Claire as Nichiren Shoshu's 67th High Priest[ess].
On May 3rd, 2001, Claire (a/k/a "America") founded the Department of Empowerment upon the campus of Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California.
Today, Claire lives together with her husband, Dean Wayne Boyd, and their 2 dogs and 4 cats (and 1 stray outdoor kitty) in Augusta, Georgia.
